At Wright Brothers Oyster Bar in Borough market in London. It is classic, old, unpretentious and fun. I saw Annie Lennox there once.

What music are you listening to?
I’m listening and looking to people’s voices and enjoyment.

What are you wearing?
It is almost Spring and I’m wearing a lovely white crispy shirt, wool pants track style, black patent leather shoes with cashmere socks of course, a cashmere scarf and a black leather coat and sunglasses.

What are you going to eat?
I believe that the best is not necessary the fanciest so I’m going to eat crab soup for entrée, followed by six oysters, followed by a lobster omelette with toast and a lovely glass of Semillon Blanc.

What music are you listening to?
Sweet Disposition by The Temper Trap

What are you wearing?
A slinky Chanel Couture dress

What are you going to eat?
First I would have the perfect Apple Martini; a little sour with sugar on the rim of the glass. Then I would have Crab Omelette. For main course it would be a mouthwatering Gnooci with a three cheese sauce and for dessert it would be a hot chocolate fondant pudding. All washed down with Veuve Clicquot.

About Kirsten Carriol:
Kirsten Carriol has spent 10 years owning and running her own PR Agency specialising in all things beauty, cosmetics, hair care and other gorgeous, lifestyle products. Kirsten has also consulted on colour ranges for beauty companies.

Kirsten used lanolin as a little girl when her Father, a Professor of Molecular Biology & Genetics insisted that it was simply the best moisturiser a skin could get. Couple this with many farm holidays at her Grandparents property where she spent hours in the sheep shearing sheds, lanolin became an integral part of her childhood. As time passed on she discovered lip glaces, lip glosses and lipsticks, but never really found anything that lived up to lanolin.

Six years ago on her way to the airport in Paris she was contemplating the long flight ahead and lack of products good enough for the drying on-air climate. It was then that she decided to bring lanolin back to the world and Lanolips™ was born. A labour of love ever since, Kirsten has finally created her dream product… merging glamour, nature, no-nonsense and simplicity.

Kirsten is truly addicted to the perfection of lanolin and wants everyone to rediscover this magical ingredient.

Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch or Dinner?
Dinner that never ends. Ever!

Where will you be dining?
On the whole planet, I am in Love with a Tapas bar in Melbourne’s little Collins street called Bar Louhrinah. The food is sublime and melts in your mouth, but also the food arrives as tapas does with waves of dishes and delicious flavours. They have the best red wines and I always always start with a Cappuccino Martini and order a few!! I can see myself there now and it is all open space and communal tables raised at bar level. I crave the place when I am in New York. I am a Sydney boy, but this experience has my name on it in capital letters. Food, atmosphere and cocktail heaven in the way that ONLY Melbourne can do and does… look at me, talk about getting carried away!

What music are you listening to?
Generations of Love, a Boy George classic and from the musical Annie… ‘The sun will come out tomorrow’.

What are you wearing?
A beautiful, classic black tie suit, probably from Hugo Boss or Ted Baker. A button down black Armani shirt and a silver Theory tie. Black lace-up shoes and a smile on my face. If this is it, then may as well go smiling I say!

What are you going to eat?
Tapas, forever!

Madeleine Thompson

WHAT: CASHMERE QUEEN
WHERE: LONDON
VISIT: www.madeleine-thompson.com

FFF LOVES… Madeleine’s cool, chic and contemporary take on fashion’s most luxurious fibre.

Breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner?
I do love brunch – I think it’s the combination of my two favourite meals and because of that I think we’re all allowed to eat more! Also, I love how brunch seems to last hours and hours – you make a real day of it!

Where will you be dining?
I think they do the best brunch in New York! They have it down to an art. It’s not such a big thing out here in London so it’s a real treat whenever I’m in town.

What music are you listening to?
The music of my friends’ voices! My ideal meal is everyone chatting so much and getting so enthused by the conversation that you’re pretty oblivious to anything or anyone else.

What are you wearing?
For this time of year I’ll probably be wearing some tailored shorts with my slouchy cashmere cardigan with striped sleeves.

What are you going to eat?
I’m going to eat egg truffle toast. I haven’t tried it yet but my friend told me about it – it’s hollowed out toast filled with egg and melted fontina cheese with truffle oil. Heaven on a plate!

Bircher Muesli on the side (going back to my ‘you can eat more at brunch’ rule!) – I love it so much and it’s always such a treat to eat it out, it’s never as good if you make it yourself.

I’d also have a huge hot chocolate and unlimited prosecco – lighter than champagne so I prefer it in the day!

About Madeleine Thompson…
Inspired by her birthplace, Hong Kong and her formative years spent in England, 28-year-old designer Madeleine Thompson blends her love for eastern tradition with a cool western eye. After graduating London’s Durham University with a law degree in 2002, she returned to Hong Kong where she worked as a buyer for one of the world’s most prestigious retailers, Lane Crawford. Always creative and often complimented on the jewellery she made for herself, Madeleine couldn’t resist starting her own jewellery collection in 2004. In 2007, Madeleine branched into knitwear and cashmere clothing. Her cashmere beanie became the ‘must have’ of the season. Fall/Winter 2009 marked the launch of her collection in the US, which now includes a chic button-less cardigan, a wrap around shawl and thick chunky knit scarf. The pieces complement each other well in the same muted tones and high finish. Kate Moss and Renee Zellweger are fans of her jewellery while Agyness Deyn and Sienna Miller (pictured), Poppy Delevigne and Lily Donaldson have bagged cashmere beanies. She has recently added an interiors line to the Madeleine Thompson collection which includes beautifully indulgent throws offset by luxurious cable knit cushion covers.

About Juli Grbac:
Juli Grbac embraces femininity, simplicity and individuality. With an exquisite eye for pattern making, cutting and delicate sewing, Juli transforms her fabrics into delicate couture. Juli’s new-found national fame came after the down-to-earth Brisbane girl appeared on Foxtel’s inaugural season of Project Runway Australia. Her glamourous and classic design ethos, use of beading and crystals and unmistakable flare for creativity caught the judges attention. When she took out the competition and won a place at this year’s Melbourne Fashion Week, the industry took notice. And so did the A-List, with local and national identities – including model and socialite Erica Packer, Governor-General Quentin Bryce and international celebrity Dannii Minogue – donning Grbac’s designs. Juli
Grbac might have become a household name overnight, but her achievements are the result of years of painstaking and unwavering commitment. After launching her self-titled label seven years ago, the challenges came fast and thick – but the notoriously competitive and cut-throat fashion industry was no match for Juli’s sheer determination. The gamble paid off, with numerous independent and up-market stores across the country now stocking Juli Grbac designs. Since she was a child, Juli has been sewing and designing clothes and fashion accessories. What began as a hobby led to study at the Gateway TAFE, before the ambitious youngster fled to chase the big time in London and enrolled in the prestigious design school St Martins. She has also worked with the likes of Easton Pearson, gaining valuable knowledge at the Queensland fashion house. On the back on her success on Project Runway, Juli made her debut at Rosemount Australia Fashion Week in Sydney in 2009. While her pieces might change from season to season, her passion for creating beautiful, elegant and timeless garments remains the same.

A really long dinner…

Where will you be dining?
I will be starting at Icebergs in Sydney for entrée, moving to Buddakan in New York for the main meal and off to Venice for dessert.

What music are you listening to?
In Sydney, I will be listening to something relaxing, maybe a bit of Jack Johnson. In New York, it will be St Germain and nothing in Venice. I will be walking and talking with my friends which will be all the music I need.

What are you wearing?
I will be wearing a Thread Social tulip dress with black patent Christian Louboutins. When I pop over to New York, I will be adding a pair of black opaque tights, my Camilla and Marc cream cashmere coat and a pair of black leather gloves that I bought on my last trip to New York. I never buy expensive ones because I always lose them! I will also take a pair of black flat knee high boots to change into in Venice. I can’t be climbing into those gondolas in heels!

What are you going to eat?
I will be starting with natural oysters at Icebergs served with an ice cold glass of Veuve Clicquot. I will have a window table overlooking Bondi Beach of course. I will be having dim sum at BuddakanIn New York. Their edamame dumplings and hoisin glazed pork belly are unbeatable. I will be washing this down with a bottle (greedy I know but it’s my last supper and I won’t have to worry about a hangover) of Pinot Grigio. For dessert, I will be having a gelati ice cream cone with two different flavours. Most likely mint and chocolate. I will be walking around the alleyways and canals with my friend and enjoying every last drop.

About Marnie Goss:
Fashion entrepreneur Marnie Goss is no stranger to high end fashion - after finishing two degrees in Communications (PR) and Business (Marketing) at university, she packed up and shipped off to the shores of the United Kingdom where she developed a love for online shopping and international fashion labels, and worked with renowned brands such as Krug champagne and Versace. After a career high as a publicist for Louis Vuitton, Marnie returned to her home shores and quickly identified a gap in the market for a luxury fashion website – and Frockshop was born.  She’s certainly on the road to success – with 10,000 hits a day to the website, a rapidly expanding client base boasting about 50 exclusive labels from Australia and further ashore including Antipodium, Josh Goot, Zimmerman, Ginger & Smart, Camilla & Marc, Lisa Ho, J Brand, and CC Skye, and a loyal customer base placing orders every season, frockshop.com.au is the online destination of choice for Australia’s label-lovers. A self-confessed workaholic, Marnie admits that working for herself is the biggest motivator, and it only takes the click of a mouse to prove her hard work has most definitely paid off.

FFF WANTS… to be even half as graceful as Amber, wear a tutu and receive an invite to her Last Supper… just flawless.

Breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner?
Being the ultimate and final dining experience, all my family and friends from across the globe would be at the table. Some are travelling from afar and some, like me, love to sleep in so lunchtime would be the perfect start time. Being a long and luscious feast it will melt into sunset and stretch into dinner.

Where will you be dining?
We begin in Italy. It is summer. Everyone is in their bathers, swimming and eating at a beachside family restaurant in Positano. I remember one holiday here, I swam right out into the sapphire blue Mediterranean and looked back and saw the coastline of dramatic cliffs dotted with colourful piazzas amongst the bougainvillea. Absolute bliss. It is the place you want to be with the people you love. For the main course, it is a wintery evening in Paris in a crowded bistro. The waiters are in long aprons. Artists, painters, poets and dancers from past and present wander in to join our travelling feast. Dessert involves time travel back to the 1990s in Noosa Queensland (one of the places I grew up) before it became far north Melbourne!

What are you listening to?
In Italy, you probably won’t hear the music over the loudness of my loved ones talking and laughing, however a friendly piano accordion-playing local who is happy to let us sing along would be “molto” here! In France, Serge Gainsbourg (I’m taking liberties with reality here!) would serenade us in his très cool française way. Edith Piaf would pop in to perform my favourite ‘La Vie en Rose’ as the finale. Serge can do some duets with Jane Birkin orBrigitte Bardot if he likes! In Noosa, Elton John would fly in to do a concert on the beach under the rising stars. I’ve always wanted to have ‘Tiny Dancer’ sung to me!

What are you wearing?
In Italy, my bathers, salt and sand. In Paris, the one shouldered white sheath dress Audrey Hepburn wore as Holly Golightly in the party scene in ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’ complete with long cigarette holder (I don’t smoke, but it’s just too fabulous to pass up!). I will wear ballet flats, Audrey-style, I so can dance the night away and not stumble on Parisian cobblestones. By the time we get to Noosa, I have lost my shoes, rolled up my dress and put frangipanis from my grandmother’s garden in everyone’s hair.

What are you going to eat?
We would toast the happy gathering with Peach Bellinis in Italy and share a big platter of prosciutto with melon as well as oysters brought in by a local fisherman.

I love all French gastronomy, but steak and pommes frites always steal my heart. Simple and warming with some good Dijon mustard on the side and a cheeky bottle or two of Pommard wine from Burgundy.

Dessert needs to be from the past, so I would serve big helpings of the ice-cream my parents used to make in their shop on Hastings Street in Noosa. Mocha almond fudge with strawberry coulis dripping on to the sand from happy, sticky faces! Elton John would love the strawberry – it would colour coordinate with some of his outfits!

To finish… if life really is a bowl of cherries then I want to finish with a huge bowl shared by everyone!

About Amber…
Brisbane-born, Amber Scott joined The Australian Ballet School at age eleven. After graduating as dux, Amber joined The Australian Ballet in 2001. In 2003 she spent four months on a dancer exchange at The Royal Danish Ballet, giving her the opportunity to learn the Bournonville technique firsthand. A lyrical and musical dancer, Amber also relishes the virtuoso pieces with exacting technique, as well as contemporary ballets. Amber was promoted to senior artist in 2008. Career highlights so far are dancing with guest artist Robert Tewsley during the 2008 Manon season and performing Odette in Paris and Manchester in 2008.

About Kevia Jeffrey-West:
Kevia
Jeffrey-West began developing jewellery for her personal collection while studying in Zimbabwe as an undergraduate at Lewis & Clark College in 1997 and 1999. She collected locally mined and cut stones, sketched designs, and found local jewelers to make her creations. While completing her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in psychology and social change, she worked in the fields of urban environmental policy, community outreach, and social justice for eight years. Her community and academic work led to a full ride fellowship in an education research and policy PhD program at the University of California Santa Barbara in 2003.

While living in Santa Barbara, she once again began creating jewellery in her spare time. Only three months after being approached by a local boutique to develop items for their store, Kevia’s jewellery was being carried in 20 high-end Southern California boutiques including Wendy Foster in Montecito. Kevia decided to officially launch her line in the winter of 2005 using her own namesake, which means “beautiful child”.

The small list of stores carrying her jewellery rapidly grew to over four hundred stores in six hundred locations by 2008. In addition to gracing the shelves of high-end boutiques across numerous continents, Kevia’s collection has been featured in several renowned publications including InStyle, Lucky, Life & Style, People Espanola, and Real Simple. Her work has been seen on Desperate Housewives, Private Practice, Lie to Me, and the movie 27 Dresses. Katherine Heigl, Norah Jones, Amy Brenneman and Teri Hatcher have been spotted wearing her jewellery.

In July 2009, Canturi opened his fifth store at 66th Street and Madison Avenue in New York. Canturi’s fascination with design and sculpture began at a young age when he would spend hours carving miniature sculptures out of chalk at the back of the classroom. While Canturi was in his last year of high school, his mother, who recognized Stefano’s talent and ability, encouraged him to visit an Italian master jeweller. Stefano instantly realised this was his life’s passion. During his apprenticeship, Canturi became fascinated with jewellry’s ability to marry artistic craftsmanship with the conceptual challenges of innovative design. Canturi devoted five years to intensive training before striking out on his own at just 21 years of age. Now 43, the designer continues to fuse inspiration with an in-depth knowledge of his craft. Setting his imagination free, he conjured a revolutionary composition of diamonds that forms the basis of his sought after Cubism collection. Cubism cradles the essence of Canturi Jewels – the exquisite balance between concept and form. Inspired by the innovative mood of the Cubism art movement that saw artists break with convention to explore abstract and non-traditional styles, Canturi’s signature Cubism design pioneered an arrangement of baguette and carré cut diamonds in a geometric pattern never before seen in luxury jewels. The geometric lines, delicately arranged in curved patterns work in concert to deliver perfectly proportioned jewels that are incredibly romantic and timeless yet reflect innovation and avant garde design at its best. Canturi has collaborated with Academy Award winning filmmakers to design and craft history-making jewels, most notably for Nicole Kidman in the movie “Australia”  and the  ‘Satine’ necklace (above) for her role in “Moulin Rouge”. Canturi designs have been worn by celebrities such as Oprah Winfrey, Linda Evangelista and Kylie Minogue. His designs have been featured in international fashion magazines such as the cover of UK’s Harper’s & Queen, US Vogue, US Harper’s Bazaar and have been seen on the catwalks of Dolce & Gabbana, John Galliano, Karl Lagerfeld and Oscar de la Renta.
